How PaisaNow works
This page walks through the full PaisaNow flow: how an agent gets onboarded, how a customer application moves through the system, how payouts work, and how the operations team stays on top of the network.
1. Agent onboarding
Your operations team adds an agent through the admin dashboard. The agent receives a one-time link, downloads the PaisaNow app, completes a brief KYC and skill check, and signs the agent agreement digitally.
The whole onboarding takes under 30 minutes. The agent is live and ready to source customers the same day.
For DSA empanelment-specific onboarding (where agents need to be empanelled with each lender separately), PaisaNow handles the lender-side documentation through pre-built integrations with the major DSA empanelment workflows.
2. Customer sourcing
The agent meets a customer. Either in person, or through a referral, or through a lead the operations team routed to them.
In the app, the agent starts a new application. The flow guides them through customer details, the loan or insurance product selection, document collection (with on-device camera capture), and consent.
The agent does not need to know which document the lender requires for which product. The app handles the matching.
3. KYC and verification
Documents flow through PaisaNow’s KYC engine. PAN, Aadhaar (offline KYC where applicable), bank statement extraction, GST verification for business borrowers, and bureau pulls happen in the background.
If a document is missing or fails verification, the agent gets an actionable notification. They go back to the customer with the specific item needed, not a generic error.
4. Submission to the lender
PaisaNow routes the application to the right lender on your panel based on the product, the customer profile, and your routing rules. For multi-lender configurations, the application can be routed to the lender most likely to approve it given the customer’s profile.
The agent sees the live application status. The customer sees status updates on WhatsApp.
5. Disbursement
When the lender approves and disburses, PaisaNow records the disbursement event, posts the agent’s commission to the payout ledger, and notifies the customer.
For insurance products, the same flow applies: policy bound, commission posted, customer notified.
6. Collections (where applicable)
For products where the agent has a continuing collections role (some BC engagements, certain insurance renewals), PaisaNow surfaces the upcoming actions in the agent’s app: who to call, who to visit, who is at risk.
For products where collections is centralised, the agent’s role ends at disbursement.
7. Cross-sell
When a customer’s repayment behaviour or life event indicates a next-best-product opportunity, PaisaNow surfaces it to the agent with a suggested approach. The agent sees the offer and the script. The customer sees an offer that matches their actual situation.
8. Payout
Agent payouts run on the schedule and structure you have configured. PaisaNow computes commissions, applies clawbacks where applicable, generates the payout file, and processes the payment.
The agent sees their pipeline (what they have sourced), what is in process, what has been disbursed, and what they have been paid.
9. Reporting and audit
Operations teams see the network in real time. Activity by agent, conversion by lender, productivity by branch, NPA by source. The auditor sees the same data through an audit-grade reporting layer.
